Technical InformationMB is dedicated to providing customers with the highest quality products available. In support of this goal a LC/MS/MS quadrupole ion trap has been added. Reversed phase, silicagel and ion-exchange High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) are used extensively. Other quality control methods include paper, thin layer, gas-liquid chromatography and electrophoresis. Each catalog product is analyzed for purity when placed in stock and periodically throughout its shelf life. Most catalog products are analyzed less than six weeks prior to shipment. MB supplies all MORpure™ products at radiochemical purity of at least 97% for tritium and at least 98% for carbon-14 as documented by HPLC analysis. Products without the MORpure™ quality assurance mark are supplied at the specifications described in the alphabetical product listing section of this catalog. A product data sheet is prepared for each product sold by MB. The following information is usually included:
Combi vial The combi vial is used for packaging most products supplied by MB. This system consists of the following:
For maximum recovery of products supplied in volumes of 1.5ml or less a polypropylene V-insert is used to allow small volumes of liquid to collect at the base of the "V". Products sold in volumes between 1.6 and 10ml are usually supplied in a Combi vial without the V-insert. A specially designed teflon lined septum allows you to use a syringe to extract the contents of the Combi vial directly through the teflon septum. The package can then be resealed with the screw cap. A leak proof plastic outer container called a securitainer is used to house the Combi vial during shipping and can be used to store the Combi vial in your lab. Special Packaging Special packaging is available in several styles and sizes. Packaging offered by MB includes:
